Choosing Us

This day tested everything we’d built.
Six months had already passed, and the easy part: the dreamy, carefree beginning, was behind us.
Now we were learning what love really meant: patience, forgiveness, the courage to stay when walking away might have been easier.

The fight that day wasn’t about one thing; it was about all the little things that pile up when you care too deeply.
There were tears, words we didn’t mean, and that heavy silence that feels louder than shouting.
For a moment, it almost felt like we’d reached the edge of what we could take.

But love has a strange way of pulling you back.
Beneath the noise, I still felt the same heartbeat that had started this all.
When we finally talked.. really talked and it wasn’t about winning.
It was about understanding.

That night I promised myself: I will never let anger speak louder than love.
He promised he’d keep choosing us, even when it’s hard.
And somehow, between the cracks, we found each other again.

Maybe that’s what forever truly is not a perfect stretch of peace, but the decision to rebuild after every storm.
We’re both still learning, still growing, still changing but we’re changing together.
